Chablis, Les Hauts de Milly, Burgundy, France, 2019 - 75cl
This Chablis comes from 12 hectares of vines on Kimmeridian soils, giving the wine the classic gunflint and wet stone aromas. With eight months on fine lees, it displays excellent freshness and purity of fruit.
TASTING NOTES: Aromas of wet stone, zesty citrus fruit and gunflint, this is a quintessential Chablis. The palate is bright with racy acidity and concentrated fruit flavours with a long finish.
Despite being produced far from the sea, Petit Chablis nonetheless offers lovely whiffs of the seashore that go perfectly with oysters, mussels, raw fish dishes and shrimps, either raw, barbecued or in sauce. It is also delightful with fried small river fish, grilled sardines and many other fish.
