Vico was created in 1955 in Vic-sur-Aisne in Picardy, from the common desire of Picardy farmers, to form a cooperative with the aim of pooling potato production. This cooperative, based in Vic-sur-Aisne in Picardy, will very quickly offer new potato-based products and be called Vico.
In 1969, Vico launched its first dehydrated mashed potatoes. In 1982, Vico marketed Apérifruits products on the French market, which offered a variety of mixtures of dried seeds and fruits. In 1988, Vico marketed potato-based crisps, the Croustipom crisps.
In 1995, Monster Munch was born and offered chips in the shape of ghosts. In 1998, Vico was bought by the second European manufacturer of savoury aperitif products, Intersnack. In 2007, it was Lorenz Bahlsen's turn to join the group, with its Curly and Baff brands, and its Noyon factory. The latter was closed the following year and its production transferred to the Vic-sur-Aisne site. The same year, Intersnack France created a strong partnership with the company Benoit SNC, a specialist in seeds (peanuts, almonds, hazelnuts, pistachios, cashews, etc.).
